With the opening of the new $90m Alfred Centre we have doubled our radiology facilities and capacity, which means we can act as a ‘one stop’ service for patients, minimising the need for multiple hospital visits.

You can now refer patients directly to Alfred Radiology. All radiology services will be bulk billed, except for non-specialist referred MRI.

With the assistance of our dedicated research team, we can provide the most advanced and up-to-date procedures for all of your patients. We have recently been NATA Accredited; giving further comfort your patients will receive the best service possible.

This is crucial, because at Alfred Radiology your patients, like our patients, are our priority. Our highly experienced, well-trained staff are supported by the resources of a major teaching hospital. This means we have the ability to offer emergency and in-house services where required are always willing to go beyond the call of duty to fulfil patient’s needs. 

Our new facilities have the latest hi tech equipment, including Australia’s first completely robotic digital radiography room.

You will find the following new facilities available:

• Two additional state of the art MRI units
• A 64 Slice CT scanner with cardiac capability
• An Interventional Radiology suite
• Two vascular ultrasound units with full harmonic imaging.

Our services have also been streamlined to increase efficiency. You can schedule appointments online and receive results by email. Parking is guaranteed for all radiology patients with an appointment - this means reduced waiting periods for your patients.
